Former Chinese Football Association secretary general stands trial for bribery

WUHAN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) — Liu Yi, former secretary general of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), stood trial on Tuesday on charges of accepting bribes.
The case involving Liu, also a former deputy head of the preparatory group for the CFA’s leadership reshuffle, was heard by a court in the city of Xianning in central China’s Hubei Province. ■
